A Rubbish Bin Mover moving bins at Scarbrough

Residential Apartment in Scarbrough purchases Rubbish Bin Mover Tug to help move bins

MasterMover Australia

Traders in Purple is the largest private developer in the Illawarra region of New South Wales and the Redcliffe Peninsula in Queensland. As creators of luxury living environments, they conceive projects with lifestyle amenity and leisure in mind.

We received a call from Brett who had a new residential apartment block opening up in Scarbrough, and needed some help moving some rubbish bins.

The rubbish bin mover that we sell is a AT200 Electric Tug from MasterMover.

The rubbish bins they have are 1100litre bins, provided by SULO and using a bracket that is installed on the bins, it allows the operator to simply connect the bins up to a drawbar attachment and pull the bins around the complex.

Retailquip went out onsite and inspected the environment and the rubbish bins along with an AT200 Electric Tug from MasterMover.

After demonstrating the Electric Tug to the complex manager, and Brett from Traders In Purple we were able to offer a easy to use solution, which involved connecting the Bins up to the AT200 Tug which allowed them to move their bins safely and easy – all at the controls of the MasterMover.

The AT200 has 2 speeds, Fast & Slow which gives great control and safety to manouevre, along with a Anti Crush button in the event they get into tight spaces. The draw bar and attachment allows a secure connection to the rubbish bin, and then it’s just a matter of connecting it up, and steering it to the kerbside for pickup.

Hotel Chain purchases an Electric Tug to help safely move heavy Rubbish Bins

MasterMover Australia

A few months ago, we were approached by a Hotel Chain, in Brisbane’s CBD that had a big problem moving their heavy rubbish bins on bin day. The challenge was actually not just the driveway and car park area, but also the size of these commercial steel bins supplied by the council.

Retailquip went out, on site and did a site assessment to determine the right product to suit their needs.

One of the biggest risks with safety, was moving the bin outside of the rubbish bin area, and then up the driveway. Moving the bin out, and then turning it around to go up the driveway caused a number of key Health & Safety Issues including wrist & back injuries, and not to mention the danger of moving the bins and loosing grip and it rolling down potentially hitting a car or worse a bystander.

The solution was clear, and with the help of Retailquip we worked together on a MasterMover AT200 Electric Tug to help move their bins.

Through the help of Brisbane City Council, who provided the attachment to connect the bins to our machine, Retailqup supplied a 50mm Tow Ball and the AT200 Electric Tug which would move the bins with controlled steering, and the ability to safely manouevre around the complex.

With forward & reverse controls – the AT200 also features controlled power steering, along with 2 speed settings (Fast/Slow) and a Warning Horn for attention.

It also features a Anti Crush system, so that you can’t get yourself injured in tight spaces.

David Xu, Manager of our Retailquip New Zealand office, successfully introduced 2 Electric Tugs to a company who designs and builds forestry harvesting and processing heads.

Electric Tug used in Forestry Plant

With parts & supplies weighing anywhere from 4 to 8 tonne, Retailquip New Zealand demonstrated their MasterMover product; initially the MT400 for trial purposes and after successful testing & feedback they purchased both a MT400 and MT1200.

The MasterTug400 can easily move up to 4,000kg, and the MT1200 can also move heavy loads up to 12,000kg by push, pull or steering wheeled loads with the ability to steer through a full 180° and hydraulics that help create an incredible amount of traction.

Both David, and Kevin provided delivery onsite, as well as MasterMover training & safety instructions to staff.

Below is a quick video of the demonstration and moving the bins around the complex, without any resistance, strain and quite easily demonstrates how easily this makes the task safe, simple & quick.

Rubbish Bin Mover using Electric Tug AT200

Sunshine Coast Electric Tug to move Rubbish Bin up to 2000kg

MasterMover Australia

The last couple of months we’ve received a lot of interest in our Rubbish Bin Mover that features a MasterMover Electric AT200 Tug pulling Waste Rubbish Bins up a 14 degree slope.

The AT200 is an Electric Tug safely towing loads where weight transfer is not possible, up to 2,000 kg

Mark Grindey, our National Service Manager gave another demonstration yesterday, to an apartment block on the Sunshine Coast with a fairly steep incline where the building management were facing some issues pushing up the hill and maneuvering their bins around the complex on Bin Day.

Pushing heavy Rubbish Bin

The apartment complex itself has a number of different bins onsite, and with each bin weighing about 250kg full of rubbish every week, and an incline of about 11 degrees it made moving these bins quite difficult causing a number of Health & Safety issues for the staff.

The Body Corporate wanted to see how our Rubbish Bin Mover works with our Electric Tug and so we provided a onsite demonstration showing just how easy it is to move these Rubbish Bins together by installing the coupling device & drawbar to to the Bin & the MasterMover Electric Tug.

SM100 Electric Tug moving Roll Cage

Victorian Beverage Chain purchases Electric Tug & Roll Cage for heavy loads

A few months ago we were contacted by a large alcohol beverage chain in Victoria that needed assistance moving their Alcohol Products.

Moving bottles of Alcohol around Shopping Centres and Warehouses can be a difficult task, and as such we provided a solution with our Roll Cages and SM100+ Electric Tug.

The SM100+ can move up to 1,200kg, and using an attachment such as the Gripping Clamp it is designed to make a solid connection to the Retailquip supplied Roll Cage.

SM100 Electric Tug moving Roll Cage

Using the Gripping Clamp it hooks onto the wire, or chassis of the Roll Cage, and grabs hold of the bottom frame. Once connected it creates an unbreakable bond between the Tug and the Roll Cage.

As Alcohol is quite heavy and as you start adding more and more weight to the cage, it can become beyond the capability of moving something safely around a store or shopping centre during the last few metres or end of the Supply Chain, so by using an Electric Tug it makes far more safe and easy, along with meeting the OHS Requirements.

Gold Coast company purchases 2 Electric Tugs & Roll Cages to improve workflow

A few weeks ago we headed out to the Gold Coast to visit a company to discuss with them on how using a MasterMover Electric Tug, and Roll Cages in their warehouse could improve their workflow.

The solution was using a SM100 (Electric Tug), and a 2 Sided Roll Cage, and Foldia Exel Roll Cage that Retailquip provides.

The SM100+ is a battery operated electric tug that makes it suitable for moving 1,200 kg loads even on slopes.

With an interchangeable battery, two powerful drive motors, two speed settings and automatic braking – the SM100+ is a multi-purpose electric tug that makes moving large or heavy wheeled loads easier and safer, particularly in busy or congested areas.

Electric Tug SM100 with Roll Cages

Following the Purchase of our Roll Cages, and Electric Tugs we provided a successful training session on how to use both the Cages & Tugs effectively.

Because of the distance they had to move a number of boxes and goods around the Distribution Center which was beyond the safe zone of what an individual can move.

The SM100 Electric Tug is now doing all the work for them, and allowing the operator to Push/Pull & Steer loads throughout the Warehouse.

For more information on the SM100 visit our website here.

Electric Trailer Tug

Demonstration of Electric Trailer Mover to Customer in Brisbane

I headed out to a National Company on the Southside of Brisbane this morning to demonstrate one of our Electric Trailer Mover Systems.

The company was a manufacturing business that deals in a lot of material handling.

The problem was constantly getting trucks that were not busy – to move their trailers into the warehouse where they would then have them loaded with an overhead crane and moved outdoors ready for dispatch.

By having an electric tug – it would be designed to assist in speeding up the trailers and having them ready for dispatch.

We showed and demonstrated the Operations Manager, exactly how the MasterMover TMS1650+ can allow a single pedestrian operator to move the trailers with no licence required.

Marand purchases Electric Tug for Custom Trolley

Electric Tug for moving Custom Trolleys

Marand purchases Electric Tug MT800+ for Special Project

Marand is a leading global supplier of precision engineered solutions to a range of industries including Aerospace, Defence, Rail, Automotive and Mining.

After contacting us back in late 2017 for a large scale project – Nicholas Webster, Project Engineer said that it was always easy and simple to deal with MasterMover & Retailquip. Working with the engineers in the UK was fantastic and I believe we have a perfect outcome because of our collaboration.

Nicholas was in the early design stages of an internal project at Marand, one of his tasks was to simplify and significantly reduce the time taken to handle large aerospace tools in and out of machining centres.

After hearing of MasterMover via a partner company, he contacted Retailquip to find out more information.

The difficulty was that we were looking for a non-standard build; we needed to incorporate a complicated electrical interface between the MasterMover machine and our own internally designed trolley which the MasterMover would be steering and driving.

After working directly with MasterMover engineers in the U.K. for several weeks Marand could develop a solution that both parties were happy with, that met both of our requirements. The ease in which it was to work with both MasterMover & Retailquip was a real breath of fresh air. Even on highly technical matters it was a breeze and responses were always very prompt.

Upon delivery of the units to our facility in Australia, Retailquip attended site to unbox, commission and train Marand in the use of the units, also spending significant time with to test the system, using  the MasterMover units in conjunction with our trolleys.

The Industrial Electric Tug, MT800+ allow a single pedestrian operator to easily push, pull and steer wheeled loads weighing up to a maximum of 8,000 kg.

As part of the MasterTug range, the MT800+ features a Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tested steel chassis and a durable planetary gear box. All couplings are made from zinc coated steel for strength and the industrial drive wheel is long-lasting and provides the perfect amount of traction.
