Reason #1 – MHE
What the Foldia XL does, is something that no other Roll Cage in this country has done before.
It can be used with almost any standard Material Handling Equipment, such as a Forklift, Pallet Jack, Wave Picker, etc and is lightweight and compact to suit your loading requirements making it extremely efficient AND gives any business the opportunity to improve their picking efficiency without any further MHE capital requirement.
With an Australian Footprintof 1150 x 775mm it offers optimal cubic truck fill making it ideal for all warehousing & stock picking operations, supermarkets, distribution and more.
Reason #2 – Reduces Costs
Although the Australian standard pallet is 1/3 more of a footprint than this roll cage, there are no sides to a pallet and typically require more cost in shrink wrapping and further risk to your product being damaged in transit.
Reason #3 – Configurations
It’s got a Smart Shelf (optional) built into it, and it folds away for easy storage.
Just like the Foldia, and Foldia PlusRoll Cages, the Foldia XL folds away easily for storage and on the Foldia XL, it has an adjustable Smart Shelf where you can slide the shelf to the required height for different loading configurations.
Simply slide the shelf up & down and select the level you need for your goods.
Reason #4 – Safety
Safety plays a huge role in any business,
The design of the Foldia XL gives the operator the ability to still see over the top of the cage as they are pushing it around the store, or warehouse to ensure they do not hit any objects, people, etc. whilst keeping a maximum load to transport the goods.
Reason #5 – Real Estate & Return Logistics
The Foldia XL has the smallest nesting increment than any other roll cage. It has a nesting increment of 5:1, so if your not using it in the store, you can save space and use less room for storing equipment instead.
This also means your Return Logistics is increased with more cages going back to the DC.

A few months ago we were contacted by a large alcohol beverage chain in Victoria that needed assistance moving their Alcohol Products.
Moving bottles of Alcohol around Shopping Centres and Warehouses can be a difficult task, and as such we provided a solution with our Roll Cages and SM100+ Electric Tug.
The SM100+ can move up to 1,200kg, and using an attachment such as the Gripping Clamp it is designed to make a solid connection to the Retailquip supplied Roll Cage.
Using the Gripping Clamp it hooks onto the wire, or chassis of the Roll Cage, and grabs hold of the bottom frame. Once connected it creates an unbreakable bond between the Tug and the Roll Cage.
As Alcohol is quite heavy and as you start adding more and more weight to the cage, it can become beyond the capability of moving something safely around a store or shopping centre during the last few metres or end of the Supply Chain, so by using an Electric Tug it makes far more safe and easy, along with meeting the OHS Requirements.
The SM100+ is a battery operated electric tug that makes it suitable for moving 1,200 kg loads even on slopes.
With an interchangeable battery, two powerful drive motors, two speed settings and automatic braking – the SM100+ is a multi-purpose electric tug that makes moving large or heavy wheeled loads easier and safer, particularly in busy or congested areas.
Following the Purchase of our Roll Cages, and Electric Tugs we provided a successful training session on how to use both the Cages & Tugs effectively.
Because of the distance they had to move a number of boxes and goods around the Distribution Center which was beyond the safe zone of what an individual can move.
The SM100 Electric Tug is now doing all the work for them, and allowing the operator to Push/Pull & Steer loads throughout the Warehouse.
New Zealand Stationery Warehouse finds new efficiency with Roll Cages.
With over 60 stores throughout New Zealand, The Warehouse Stationary Supply Chain Manager Contacted Retailquip in 2013 interested in reviewing the range of distribution rollcages available in Australia and New Zealand.
Referred by their colleagues at the Warehouse who have used Retailquip Rollcages for a number of years for back of store and shelf replenishment at every site they operate throughout New Zealand – Warehouse stationary commenced trials and evaluation in May/June 2014. Selecting a number of different Roll Cage configurations, covering design and in store training – they underwent a rigorous and comprehensive evaluation. As a result, they selected the 2 sided HFrame Compactainer and purchased over 500 units for distribution to all their sites.
They also purchased over 200 of the bespoke designed Tidy Bags which have been designed to hang on the side of the Rollcage and are used to segregate plastic and cardboard packaging during the shelf replenishment process. This has greatly assisted the efficiency of both shelf replenishment and refuse segregation through the entire path of distributing over 8,000 products to shelf.
The Central Operations Manager said to Retailquip “The Cages are working really well in our stores. We have gained efficiency throughout our store network and ability for replenish in category’s has increased which benefits the customer. Very adaptable units for us, and provide speed and quality of product to the shelf”.
Last week, Retailquip was pleased to assist with one of the chains operating in Australia’s largest airports – Sydney International Airport – to significantly simplify the distribution of products to their shopping outlets.
Contacted at the last minute, just under 100 Stock Distribution Cages were made available from our Brisbane warehouse, picked up that day and were in operation on site within 24 hours.
For what is typically used on Pallets, and Forklifts our stock distribution Rollcage fleet were able to easily move large quantities of products to shelf – we provided our Stock Distribution Rollcages – to move electronic products dropped at the receivables dock at Sydney Airport to various outlets.
Our fleet of Rollcages, (which are now available for hire) allowed this retailer to move their stock efficiently, safely and quickly.
